Saturday April 17th is Record Store Day, and being how we’re a record store and we dig vinyl we’ll be participating with a calvacade of activity here at TMR HQ in Nashville Tennessee.
Like live concerts, limited edition records, BBQ, awesome band memorabilia, and good times? Well, Check it out...
To celebrate the re-release of The Raconteurs debut LP Broken Boy Soldiers there will be 300 Copper Colored Record Store Day limited editions. Plus, Brendan Benson and Patrick Keeler along with some friends will be performing Raconteurs songs here at Third Man as the Racontwoers. Attendees to the show will also be eligible for more exclusive vinyl in the form of our second Black and Blue release of the performance.
But before that all kicks off, we’ll have the three remaining Go Karts from the
Steady As She Goes video here on display and for a small fee you can have a Polaroid picture taken with them. However, even more exciting is that if you buy any piece of Raconteurs merchandise in our shop, you will receive a raffle ticket to enter to win either Brendon Benson’s or Jack Lawrence’s Go Kart. You win it, it’s yours, take it home! There will be no limit on the amount of tickets you can buy...
Now what of the third Go Kart, Jack White’s very own Copper Kid? Well, this mean machine will be auctioned off to the highest bidder with all proceeds to benefit the Nashville Homeless Mission. It’s a good cause, so bid high people!
All that and BBQ, Popsicles from Las Paletas, DJs and much more!

It is nothing short of exhilarating to announce our latest (and in our opinion strongest) Vault package yet.
Our full-length is an exquisite selection of archival audio the White Stripes’ 2007 Canadian tour B-shows. Utmost discretion has been used in including as many songs as possible that are NOT featured in the “Under Great White Northern Lights” documentary OR the accompanying soundtrack. On top of that, the versions of songs included on this LP will be, almost entirely, not even found on YouTube. This is an exclusive opportunity to share these unique shows in a completely interesting way.
The 7” single for this package is two previously unheard demos from The Raconteurs’ “Consolers of the Lonely” album. The A-side is an early rehearsal version of “Top Yourself” while the B-side is an acoustic take of “You Don’t Understand Me” both of which differ significantly from the released versions that we all already know and love.
The third component to this package will be an exclusive Dead Weather t-shirt that will blow minds.
The Dead Weather's new 7" single 'Die By The Drop' is released tomorrow April 6th, these will be the black only version of the single. We're constantly looking at new ways to get the limited edition Tri-Colors straight into the fan's hands, so over the next few months we'll be trying some new approaches when these are released.
